drawing done from observation of cotton reels, again I used a tool I had made from card  with paint to give the texture of wrapped  round cotton. To make the background to this drawing I used masking fluid to create circles in a wash of watercolour to give a sense  of depth to the amount of cotton produced in Manchester at the height of the revolution.
