Inspiration

Over summer I spent time visiting exhibitions and museums, whilst enjoying the my visits I noticed I was always drawn to artifacts and displays of natural structures. As a result a theme began to emerge, I liked the idea of a of a structure growing over time  and how this would relate to the way an embroidery sample grows as it is progressively created. I also felt the way the things I saw  were created in layers for example the amber and the copper sulfate, I thought the idea of layering would be a good starting point for my project and sampling
