I cut the walls of bottle tops into thin strips to flatten the top out and then put this under the heat press.

Using disperse dye and embroidery to recreate the subtle colours af a shell. I used raw silk as this was perfect to represent the texture of a shell.

(close ups of the above) I used embroidery to accentuate the shapes I had made using the dye, Including real shells in the embroidery.

Practicing mark making techniques on the wet disperse dye papers; also some small studies from landscapes.

Broken crockery trapped under fine netting. I tried to continue the pattern you can see on one piece using embroidery.

Using only blue fabric in many diferent forms to create a landcscape. I pulled thick wool through Aida to represent foliage. I thave cut out a skirt from a magazine to show how embroidery could be used on clothing.

Drawings done of landscapes, oil pastel, biro, fineliner and pencil.

Again another embroidered landscape. I tried to show the diferent shades of blue in the sky by unpicking worn out denim. I have shown how a field of wheat can look by fraying a fabric in a similar colour to hay. I used seeding to attach this.

Lots of gathered plastic film
giant paint brush drawing

Colour studies; how colours can be affected by others, tones and shades. In the bottom right, the 3 squares show carnival, cool minimalism and opulence through colour.
