Creative Education and Experience: I have always been committed to making art, all the way through school I put my creative subjects art and textiles first. Putting as much effort in as I could, until I was completely satisfied with the result. After finishing school I made the decision that I wanted to pursue art full time. In order to bring this to realization I made a portfolio and attended an interview At Leeds college of art (LCAD) where I was successful in gaining a place on the Art and design BTEC course. My two years spent at LCAD were thoroughly enjoyed and informative, my mind was opened as I was emerged fully in creative practice for the first time. Towards the end of my first year after a wet room photography project, my photography was on show in an exhibition at Armley Mills in Leeds. In my second year I specialized in textiles, I enjoyed working with traditional and none traditional materials and appreciated the interdisciplinary element that came with textiles, as the subject name suggests I loved texture. I was spurred on by the context that historic textiles gave me and generally loved art history. Still reluctant to specialize further I gained a placed at Manchester School of art to study Textiles, where I am currently enjoying my first year. I signed up to do the workshops, 3D construct, hand processes, weave and 3D construct intermediate. By choosing these workshops I have developed my skill in thinking 3 dimensionally and enjoyed working on a mannequin, thinking about how to fit shape onto the human form. I enjoy working with small detail sohand process was very enjoyable, allowing me to develop my embroidery skills. I had never done weaving before I enrolled on the weave  workshop, but enjoyed it fully and marveled at being able to create my own cloth. In my first year I have taken the opportunity to experiment and am currently working towards work to be displayed at an exhibition at the Museum of science and industry.
