The top picture is a collage from my sketchbook inspired by the bottom picture. The second picture shows an eye which have damaged light receptors. People who worked in cotton factories eyes were under constant  strain having to constantly look look at a loom to weave. in my collage I cut out window from a weavers cottage, the cottages had many windows built in to allow extra light.
