Skinship Project

After discussing at the 'Unconference'  how collaboration can lead to new ways of working within design I researched practitioners who had done just that. I was interested to find how Savil row Taylor's had worked with plastic surgeons. A while back in November I went to a small talk given By Rhian Solomon, Director of the Skinship project. She explained how there was mutual learning was undertaken through the collaboration of tailors and surgeons as they both used precision and cutting in their practice. The project aims to challenge boundaries between two practices that are often thought to be so different. Science and the Visual arts are kept rather separate, making for an unusual union.
