I have produced two books one as a way of showing how my work can be
used as inspiration for fashion and another as an artist’s book as a way of
promoting my work. My idea for the inspiration book came from pairing images together,
creating a narrative through pattern, surface and texture. I have been inspired
by the online inspiration site paternity and the way they collate images into groups based on similar visual references. When it came to printing my book I had may attempts and test prints. I was relived that I had made a start on this in plenty of time. I chose to use thick white paper, as much as I would have liked to use unusual paper, when I test printed this I felt that the quality of the images was compromised. I am happy with the covers that I made they work well as a pair and have a tactile quality, a good representation of the work I make.
