Making a Slow Revolution

Helen Carnac, described as an artist, curator and educator is at the forefront of the 'Slow Revolution'. She describes how making is a way of learning and thinking, explaining how she feels making aids her thought processes. This way of carrying out a thought process is one I can identify with. She expresses a need for work to express the process by which it was made rather than be solely a product.

Here is an example of Carnac's work, a trained in ceramics, her thoughts are expressed within the enamel. This work responds to found marks, and marks made by being, connecting her work,  rather deeply with humanity. Carnac also uses appropriated found objects, something i find often reoccurs in previous work of mine.
