The anti Design Festival are an organisation with a rather anarchist approach to Design. Everything within the festival is makeshift with little regard for traditional design, instead audience participation is fully encouraged. This ethos rather reminds me of the DaDa movement, brought to life after the devastation of the 1st world war. Traditional values of art and social structure were put aside in an attempt to find a new way through life. Highlighting the frustration many felt in response to how the 'traditional' ways had
ended in war.
"Dada consciously renounced all monumentality. It does not see itself as the only real truth amongst relativism, it sees itself as no less relative. By first renouncing monumentality we will have a better view of life." Jacob Bendien
